Salem County Divorce Records
Salem County divorce cases are referred to as dissolution cases. These matters are adjudicated by the Superior Court's Family Division. Divorce records are maintained as part of the county's family court records and may be obtained from the Salem County Superior Court Clerk, along with other court-maintained documents.
While members of the public have access to basic divorce information, such as the parties' names and the date of dissolution, case documents may only be released to the parties involved or to authorized individuals. Salem divorce certificates and judgments may be obtained only by the parties to the case or their legal representatives.
